Looking for a little more exploration, relaxation, and family fun in Princeton this summer? Whether you’re visiting for a short time or extending your stay, every moment on the Square is a special experience. Read a few of our favorite ways to spend a summer day (or two!) in Princeton and start planning your trip!
ENJOY WEEKEND ENTERTAINMENT
You will find no shortage of events on Palmer Square this year! We have a full calendar that includes live music on the Green every weekend through the end of the year. In addition to our Saturday music series, McCarter Theatre Center has partnered with us to bring an eclectic mix of local musicians to perform on Sunday evenings through June. Pack a chair or blanket, settle in and soak up some of that gorgeous Princeton sunshine!
STAY IN THE HEART OF IT ALL
Turn your day trip into an overnight stay! Book your room at the Nassau Inn hotel just steps from Palmer Square’s walk-able European-style town center, upscale shopping, first-class eateries, and the vibrant energy of a charming historic district.
SHOP LATE NIGHT
Plan to meet up with your girlfriends for some much needed retail therapy or take the family out for a treat or two! Spend your evenings shopping and dining al fresco this summer, plus enjoy the sounds of live strolling entertainment on Thursday’s this June & July and don’t miss out on the exceptional retail promotions and happy hour specials that await you at many of our stores and restaurants. See individual stores for hours.
Al fresco dining! Need we say more? Grab a seat on our many outdoor patios while you take in the Princeton atmosphere and sip specialty cocktails with your lunch or dinner.
A hot summer day in town isn’t complete with out a cone, twist, chocolate goodie or heck, a whole pint! Locals and visitors always flock to the bent spoon, Halo Pub, Lindt Chocolate or Thomas Sweet Chocolate when looking for a delicious treat.
GET TO KNOW THE TOWN
Learn all about Princeton’s rich history, and see the sights while you’re at it! Princeton Tour Company offers guided weekend public walking tours, trolley tours, and private corporate, active senior and school events! Get the lay of the land and visit two historical gardens in Princeton that are must-sees–but you don’t need to be an expert to appreciate the beauty of Prospect Gardens, located on the Princeton University campus.
OUTSIDE EVENTS ALL SUMMER LONG
From late-night shopping, fine dining, weekly entertainment, and exploring the sites there’s always something fun to do in Princeton, no matter where you’re from, or who you’re visiting with!
