Spring Music Series – Deni Bonet

While you spend your weekend out on the Square shopping, and dining al fresco with friends and family, delight in the sounds of an eclectic mix of musicians that will make the town come alive with acoustic covers, classic rock, country and jazzy favorites you know and love! Settle in on the lawn with your chairs and blankets for afternoon of fun in the sun.
June 12th: Deni Bonet
Deni Bonet is a singer/songwriter & virtuoso violinist playing quirky, melodic and fun folk-rock for all ages. Bonet has performed and recorded with Cyndi Lauper, R.E.M., Sarah McLachlan and many others. Her previous appearances include Carnegie Hall, The Great Wall of China, the United Nations, and the White House for President Obama and then-Vice President Biden. She has recently been a soloist with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, the Symphonic Pops of Long Island, and the Danbury Community Orchestra. For the past several years, Bonet has been touring in the U.S. and Europe. She was awarded a grant in 2019 through the Arts Envoy Program of the U.S. Government to spend a month’s residency in Africa teaching violin, songwriting, and rock ’n roll at a music college in Zanzibar. She also performed concerts for the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Bonet has released several CDs of her own music, including the critically-acclaimed “Bright Shiny Objects” on Sony/RED. During the Pandemic, Bonet has performed over 50 virtual concerts for various public libraries, service organizations, and has a bi-weekly online concert series that has earned her listeners from all over the world. She is currently putting the finishing touches on a new new album that will be released later this year.
